Bronze, Blues and Brews Festival celebrates 10 years
The award winning Bronze, Blues and Brews Festival will return to Joseph on August 13 to mark a decade-long tradition of blues-inspired revelry for the whole family. Enjoy the beautiful statues of Joseph’s Valley Bronze while sipping beer and grooving to the music, or dance your heart away in the scenic atmosphere of the blues bowl at Joseph City Park. The festival was named winner of the Inland Empire “Best Blues Event” award in 2001 and has been nominated every year since.

This year’s musicians, in order of appearance, are Mark Lemhouse, nominated for two W.C. Handy awards, best acoustic blues album and best new artist debut; DK4, featuring Dave Stewart; Janiva Magness, a nominee of the W.C. Handy award for Best Female Contemporary Artist 2005; Michael Burks, a nominee for three W.C. Handy awards for 2004; and Telarc Recording Artist Tinsley Ellis.

Last year, beer was on hand from Redhook Brewery, Barley Brown’s Brewpub, Deschutes Brewing Company, Rogue, Big Sky, Laurelwood, Budweiser, Widmer, Hales Ales, Far West Ireland Brewing, Walking Man Brewing, Steelhead Brewing, Kona Brewing and of course, Enterprise’s own Terminal Gravity Brewing Company. Burgers, barbecue, Mexican food and nonalcoholic beverages will also be available.

Gates open at noon, with music beginning at 1 p.m. and going until 10 p.m. A free shuttle bus will run a loop route throughout the day between the festival, Enterprise and Wallowa Lake. Tickets for the Bronze, Blues and Brews Festival are $20 in advance, or $25 at the gate. Children 10 and under get in free. No coolers or pets will be admitted.
