Even without the stars, benefit nets $13,000 for Wallowa schools
Despite uncooperative weather that forced a last-minute venue change, the "Evening Under the Stars" benefit for Wallowa schools saw a solid turnout, serving approximately 200 diners and generating more than $13,000.

Lostine chinook return in large numbers
For the second consecutive year, chinook salmon are returning to the Lostine River in large numbers. All along the river, fish can be seen swimming and splashing, blending in almost perfectly with the colors of the river bottom.
